Health Benefits

We offer health benefits to team members who work a minimum of 20 hours per week after 3 months of employment. The Vic pays for 50% of the monthly deductible.Ā  Health coverage includes extended health benefits, prescription drugs and dental for you, your spouse and dependants.

Healthy Lifestyle Policy

We encourage all employees to take breaks to reconnect with family, friends and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.Ā  We will work with you to give you enough unpaid time off to fit this lifestyle.

The Vic Drive-Inā€™s days-off approach which is subject to change due to the unpredictable flow and demands of businessĀ  is to designate a minimum of two unscheduled days a week for all team members.Ā  We believe our business will thrive when our team takes time to recharge to enjoy their family and friends and community and to take care of their households and themselves.

Vacation

Full-time permanent team members will earn 10 days of vacation per year (2 weeks).Ā  Vacation is to be scheduled at mutually agreeable times, based on business needs and other employee vacation plans.Ā  Vacation is managed on a calendar year basis and accordingly, your vacation entitlement for the first calendar year will be prorated based upon your start date.

Part-time and temporary or contract employees team members will be entitled to receive 4% vacation pay (equivalent to two weeks annually) for the duration of this contract. This will be paid on each regularly scheduled pay period. Any requested time off is unpaid and is to be scheduled at mutually agreeable times, based on business needs and other employee vacation plans.

Employee Discounts

While in employment of The Vic Drive-In, we offer our team certain discounts on our products.

Employees do not receive any kind of discounts for family and friends.

All staff personal purchases must be purchased through the POS by another team member with the exception of brewed coffee, espresso drinks and hot tea.

Employees must pay immediately for their purchases and may not keep an account or a tab of money owed.

Employee Security

A surveillance camera is installed in the cafe and on the patio to deter theft, vandalism, assault and sexual harassment.

Emergency numbers are posted in the staff area and the cash area.
